Job Description
West Monroe is looking to hire a Healthcare Associate Insight Manager on the Inspired Health Team, located in our Boston office.
Healthcare is a vibrant sector packed with innovation, offering life-changing medicines and medical devices to the market. However, clever medicines and ingenious devices do not help anyone, unless they are recommended by physicians and used by patients. That's where we come in. We are Inspired.
Inspired Health
Inspired Health is our Boston-based insight consultancy. They collaborate with leading healthcare companies to design qualitative and quantitative research programs that support the innovation, sales, and marketing of medicines and medical devices. Using a methodologically blended and output-focused approach to research design, Inspired helps companies develop the right healthcare solutions, and get these to the right people, with the right messages for success.
Inspired Health & West Monroe
Recently joined with West Monroe, our Inspired Health team now has expanded capabilities to partner with industry experts, functional consultants, and technologists. This gives us expanded opportunities to tell a story around the research data, answer the all-important 'So What Test', and make an impact in the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector.
Overview of Role
You will be placed into a small, agile, multi-disciplinary team, within the organization - we call these teams "Insight Pods". Within your pod you will support and mentor junior associates, while you support and partner with your Pod Leader in the management and execution of custom designed research projects for your clients.
Inspired Health has a 'blended' philosophy to Market Research, meaning you will be expected to work across both Qualitative and Quantitative assignments. We understand that many researchers have a 'preference' (or more experience) in Qual vs Quant and we will acknowledge and respect that, giving you greater responsibility in your preferred area. But we will also develop and push you to grow in your non-preferred area - ultimately helping you become an inspired insight consultant.
Qualitative
Design qualitative research methodologies with your Pod Leader, reach out to vendors to create costs, and contribute to the creation of winning research proposals.
Oversee project management with your pod support, from screener design, creation of guides and stim, and recruitment management.
Moderate IDIs and Focus Groups, with physicians, patients and caregivers - according to your experience and aptitude.
Quantitative
Design quantitative research methodologies with your Pod Leader, reach out to vendors to create costs, and contribute to the creation of winning research proposals.
Author survey questionnaires that will generate data to answer research objectives.
Oversee project management with your pod support and the Data & Analytics team, from questionnaire programming and testing, fieldwork monitoring, quality control, data table creation, data analysis, and statistical testing.
Qualitative & Quantitative
Participate in whiteboard and brainstorming sessions with your pod at the end of fieldwork (we call them "Data Parties"!) where you will lead conversations around research findings and map out report wireframes that tell the story of the data and answer the So What Test.
Work with our Data Visualization department to create and present impactful and beautiful research reports, that answer objectives and inspire action.
Maintain ongoing relationships with multiple clients.
Mentor and support junior researchers.
Contribute to internal business processes development in a culture of continuous improvement and training.
