Professional Growth (10%) Participate, as possible, in faculty development activities at the college and within professional organizations. Current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the state of Kansas. Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) required. The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is an executive of the USC Care Medical Group, providing leadership to the medical group's clinical operations across all its ambulatory clinic locations. The CNO is a master's certified nurse who has medical group administration experience, and/or ambulatory experience, and the responsibility for the administration and oversight of division-wide budget development/management, program planning, human and material resources allocation at medical group. The individual ensures the development and implementation of patient care standards, professional practice standards and the continuous delivery of efficient and cost-effective patient care services in the outpatient settings and in clinical care areas. This position oversees the professional practice of registered nurses for hospital licensed clinics and free-standing locations, and is an active participant in accreditation activities, policy development, clinical practice and hospital clinical quality committees. The CNO provides direct oversight to select operations, including the Student Health and Culinary operations within the health system of Keck Medicine of USC. This position supports service, access, and service line expansion initiatives for the enterprise. This position provides leadership to acquisitions and clinical integration across the physician enterprise, including the expanding network of physicians aligned with Keck Medicine of USC. The CNO is responsible for ensuring that twenty-four-hour accountability (where needed) for the delivery of quality services and operational management of assigned area(s) is consistently provided. SALARY and STATUS:

The salary is determined per the 2025-26 Hiring Salary Schedule in the local HutchCC Master Agreement. This full-time faculty position is nine months annual + 10 additional days (180 work days per contract, based on contract renewal), due process rights eligible, benefit eligible, and exempt.
