Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Injection Mold Design Engineer located in Buffalo Grove IL.

Reporting to the Design and Engineering Manager, the Injection Mold Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and engineering tooling protocols for molds, jigs and fixtures as required to meet products specifications.

What a typical day looks like:

• Design and engineer moderately complex tooling protocols for molds, jigs, and fixtures as per product specifications.
• Participate in design reviews.
• Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) evaluation.
• Implement cost effective tool design changes.
• Collaborate with other team members to qualification, sampling, and final part approval.
• Provide status reports as per established schedule
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to tool room equipment.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team

• 5+ years of experience in a similar position (Design or Mold building)
• REQUIRED plastic injection molding and tooling experience
• Interpretations of layouts and drawings
• Capacities analysis
• Proficiency in Excel and MS office programs
• Knowledge medical validations
• Previous experience working in SolidWorks and Siemens/NX

Pay Range (Applicable to Illinois)

$80,400.00 USD - $110,500.00 USD Annual
