About the Architecture Programs:
The School of Architecture & Design offers three programs, BS Architecture, BS Building Sciences, and the professional, NAAB-accredited Master of Architecture. With approximately 670 students, the architecture programs are centered around the design studio, where students work closely with faculty in their explorations of architectural design across a broad range of scales. Our project-based curriculum prepares students for a range of practices. Our graduates are versant in conventional and speculative design practices, material practices, participatory social practices, and practices in scholarship and pedagogy, among many others. Students and faculty in the program are not afraid to experiment, learn from success and failure, and keep pushing forward.
Students complete two mandatory co-ops, bridging the gap between academia and industry, reinforcing coursework, and gaining valuable professional experience.
